Making Disciples of
As we continue reaching out to those around us to make disciples of Jesus Christ, Jesus Life Center is in need of volunteers to serve Jesus, each other, and the community. You can make a big difference here in the lives of others by serving.
What does it mean to serve? The Bible tells us that Jesus "came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many" in Mark 10:45. According to Strong's Concordance, the word "minister" is from the Greek word Διακονέω, which means to be an attendant, i.e. wait upon (menially or as a host, friend, or (figuratively) teacher). Therefore, a disciple of Jesus Christ can serve in a variety of ways. 1 Peter 4:10 tells us that "every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God." Jesus has given us all different skills and abilities that we can use to serve Him and to show Him to others through service to them. Jesus wants us to go and serve in order to help others find Him and begin their own journey toward becoming His disciple!
When we give of our time, talent, and ability to His Kingdom, Jesus recognizes our giving. Luke 6:38 tells us to "Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again." At Jesus Life Center, we firmly believe that Jesus will give you more than you can give to His Kingdom!
We look forward to meeting you, and discussing the best ways that you can use the talents and skills that Jesus has given you to serve with Jesus Life Center and join us in making Disciples for Jesus Christ!
